On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Newfoundland and Labrador Organization of Women Entrepreneurs, I would like to congratulate Paula Sheppard on her new position as NLOWE's Executive Director.

Paula has been with the organization since 2004 and has worked closely with the former Executive Director as Assistant Director since 2006. During these years, Paula's contribution has been pivotal, working on initiatives and programming to help women entrepreneurs succeed in the provincial economy.

We look forward to Paula bringing a fresh perspective, yet experienced insight into the needs and challenges of women in business in Newfoundland and Labrador, and we look forward to working with Paula in the her new role.

We wish Paula much luck and offer our best wishes as she guides NLOWE to continued success.

Regretfully I wish to announce that I have decided to pursue other opportunities and will be leaving the position of Executive Director of the Newfoundland and Labrador Organization of Women Entrepreneurs (NLOWE), effective March 4.

During the past decade, the organization has undergone numerous changes and has developed into a well-respected leader in the provincial business community. I am proud to have been part of such a groundbreaking organization and to have worked with the very talented women that are part of NLOWE.

I am extremely pleased to announce that Paula Sheppard will be assuming the role of Executive Director as of March 7. Paula brings to the position almost seven years of experience with NLOWE as Assistant Director. She is equally committed to helping women in this province start and grow successful, leading-edge businesses, and I am confident that under her direction NLOWE will continue to experience great success.

I would like to take the opportunity to thank our funders, particularly ACOA and the government of Newfoundland and Labrador, for their continued support, the board of directors for their vision and guidance, our clients and members, and most especially the staff of NLOWE. I have had the great privilege of working with an exceptional group of women; the success of the organization has largely been due to their hard work and dedication over the years.

Thank you again and I wish NLOWE and our clients and members every success for the future.

    Warm regards,

    Nena
