Andrea Williams Bio:
Andrea’s legal practice is focused on labour and employment. She has experience drafting various agreements and documents, including applications, contracts and employment agreements, and has extensive legal research experience. Andrea has been providing support and guidance to employers on the labour and employment issues throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
Born in St. John’s, Andrea completed her undergraduate degrees at Memorial University with a Bachelor of Commerce (Co-op)(Honours) and Bachelor of Arts (Political Science). After her undergrad, she moved “out west” to attend law school at the University of Calgary before returning home to practice in Newfoundland and Labrador.
Andrea is a member of the Law Society of Newfoundland and Labrador, Canadian Bar Association and sits on the Board of Directors for the Community Youth Network, Thrive.
Amanda Nash Bio:
Amanda practices management-side labour and employment law, advising federally and provincially regulated employers on a wide range of matters. Her approach to her legal practice focuses on getting to know and understand her clients’ business and needs, helping ensure that her advice considers the whole picture. Recently, Amanda has been advising clients on a variety of Covid-19 related legal matters.
Amanda regularly provides advice on a broad spectrum of employment issues, including employment standards, contract and policy development as well as strategic advice on disciplinary matters and employee terminations. From a labour law perspective, Amanda has experience and a particular interest in collective bargaining and collective agreement interpretation.
Amanda has taught labour relations at Memorial University and presents regularly with the McInnes Cooper Labour and Employment Practice Group on important and emerging topics in labour and employment.
