A strong advocate for under-represented businesswomen and widely recognized for her leadership in the area of entrepreneurship and economic empowerment, Josie’s  efforts have been recognized through numerous awards including the Deputy Minister of International Trade’s Excellence in Service Award, International Alliance for Women’s World of Difference 100 Award, Organization of Women in International Trade Award for Leadership, WEConnect International Supplier Diversity Champion of the Year Award, and was recognized as a Woman Worth Watching 2014 in the “Profiles in Diversity Journal” – for work on supplier diversity and inclusion. She is   a founding board member of the Ottawa Chapter of the Organization of Women in International Trade and a sought-after speaker and trainer on supplier diversity for under-represented businesses.
